RIVERS EDGE

Once dark and dated, this main floor lacked both function and style. Obelisk Home reimagined the space with a modern, high-contrast aesthetic, prioritizing livability and flow. In the kitchen, two-toned cabinetry and drawer-based storage enhanced organization and efficiency without altering the footprint. Strategic layout updates—including relocating the refrigerator and freezer to a side wall—made room for a commercial-sized fridge/freezer, improved sightlines, added workspace, and eliminated previously unused areas.

To maximize storage, a former dining room doorway was closed off, allowing for expanded cabinetry without major construction. Stained wood panels mimic open shelving, while illuminated glass uppers showcase curated accessories, keeping the kitchen feeling open and stylish. Large windows now fill the kitchen and living areas with natural light, connecting the spaces and brightening the entire floor.

The living room was transformed without structural changes. Fresh paint, a German Schmear finish on the stone fireplace, updated hardware, and all-new furnishings replaced the bulky, closed-off feel with a welcoming, conversational layout. Reoriented seating, including swivel chairs with outdoor views, allows the space to comfortably accommodate 8–10 people while remaining open, functional, and perfect for modern family living.
