HIGHLAND HOUSE
Designed to resemble an old stone structure reimagined as a modern family home, this custom residence blends timeless architecture with comfortable, livable design. In collaboration with H Design, wings were added to a central core, creating inviting gathering spaces anchored by a tumbled stone fireplace. Exposed beams, vintage rugs, leather accents, exotic woods, and curated family heirlooms come together to create a warm, collected interior.
The dining room centers around a ten-foot table beneath a sculptural “hickory tree,” layered with floral wallpaper and butterfly-printed linen for a soft, nature-inspired setting. The heart of the home is the expansive kitchen, seamlessly connected to the family room and designed for entertaining. A seventeen-foot natural hickory island with a marble-look quartz top anchors the space and provides generous storage, while cobalt blue oven doors add a bold focal point. Handmade English tile forms the backsplash, bringing texture and balance, and a hidden Robin’s Egg Blue pantry adds a personal design detail inspired by a family photograph.
Guest spaces continue the vintage farmhouse aesthetic, including a restored barn-inspired bathroom featuring butterfly wallpaper and a live-edge hickory countertop. The home includes five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, multiple living areas, four covered porches, a pergola, and stone planters—creating a thoughtfully designed home ideal for both everyday living and entertaining.
A custom-designed utility and mudroom serves as the main entry from the garage, combining durability with style. Built-in cabinetry, a live-edge hickory bench, coat storage, quartz countertops and backsplash, a full sink, and a dedicated workspace ensure this multifunctional space is both highly organized and visually refined.
