David Strong
As a native of the Ozarks I've always had an appreciation of the beauty and power to be found in nature. My years in the Air Force and subsequent travel have only served to deepen that appreciation by allowing me to view the wonders to be found in the deserts of Nevada, the mountains of Colorado, the tundra of Alaska and my own backyard. Whenever I travel from Maine to Washington I am always amazed by the surprises to be found if only I look.
Photography has been a hobby since high school. Now, through my association with other photographers at the Southwest Missouri Camera Club and many hours of study and practice, my love of photography has grown to become more than a hobby. I have been fortunate enough to have my works displayed in local businesses and private collections. My primary interest has been nature and landscape photography. I am currently expanding my photography into portraits and studies of lighting.
My main joy in photography continues to be when I can convey the moment frozen in time and memory so that others can connect it to memories or dreams of their own.
